Tour Overview

The 4 Days Tour from Marrakech to Merzouga gives you more time in the desert than the shorter loop. You drive out over the High Atlas, visit Aït Ben Haddou and sleep in the Dades Valley, then continue through Todra Gorge to the dunes of Erg Chebbi. The third day is spent around Merzouga at an easy pace, with Khamlia, the Rissani market and a second night at camp. The return follows a different road through Nkob and the Draa Valley. It suits travelers who want to slow down, see both sunset and sunrise on the sand, and maybe add quad biking or a 4x4 drive.

Two nights in the dunes and a full day to enjoy them.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why choose four days instead of three?

The extra day removes the rush. You spend two nights in the dunes, see both sunset and sunrise, and have time for local villages.

What does the 4 Days Tour from Marrakech to Merzouga include?

Private transport with a driver, three nights of accommodation, three breakfasts, three dinners and a sunset camel ride.

Can I add quad biking or a 4x4 trip?

Yes. Both can be booked for day three in Merzouga at extra cost, with equipment and a local guide.

Do both nights have to be in the same camp?

Usually yes, which saves packing. If you prefer, the second night can be in a small hotel at the edge of the dunes.

Is the trip private?

Yes. Only your group is in the vehicle, and the driver adjusts the pace and stops for you.

How cold is the desert at night?

From November to February nights can drop close to freezing, so camps provide thick blankets. Bring a warm layer and a hat.

Can the tour end in Fes?

Yes. On day four we can drive north through the Ziz Valley and Ifrane to Fes instead of returning to Marrakech.
